Ohio Shale Drilling Locations
I found a map today that I thought might interest some of the local readership. This map shows the locations of all currently-issued permits for horizontal drilling into Ohio's Marcellus and Utica shale. The data is from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and is current as of February 13, 2012.

Armed Fugitive - Billy J. Caudill
At 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm this evening, both the Ohio University Police Department (OUPD) and The City of Athens released the following alerts:
A man who is wanted in connection with the Wednesday robbery of a People's bank in Carroll, Ohio, has been spotted near campus.
A man who is wanted in connection with the Wednesday robbery of a People's bank in Carroll, Ohio, has been spotted near campus.
Billy J. Caudill is considered armed and dangerous.
Caudill is 5 feet 7 inches, weighs 195 pounds, has hazel eyes and is believed to be clean shaven with a shaved head.
His last known location was in the vicinity of Union and Shaffer Streets. People are advised to avoid the area, don't walk alone, and report suspicious activity to the police immediately.
OUPD has called in extra officers who are on patrol in the area.
As of 8p.m., Jan. 26, Athens City and Ohio University police continue searching for a possibly armed suspect
As of 8p.m., Jan. 26, Athens City and Ohio University police continue searching for a possibly armed suspect who was reported to be near Union and Shaffer Streets earlier this evening. Police have received no further updates as to the suspect’s location, but extra officers have been called in to provide additional patrol and help in the search.
The public is advised to use caution in going about their activities, but police do not believe it is necessary for people to lock themselves in or shelter in place. Additional officers are on patrol and further updates will be provided if additional information becomes available.
